What is Gaussian splatting?
Gaussian splatting reconstructs real spaces from video footage as millions of tiny, semi-transparent color points - so-called splats. Unlike classic 360° photos, this creates true, freely walkable 3D: you are not tied to fixed viewpoints but move fluidly through the space.
